In light of the current Coronavirus situation, I'd like to update you all on the impact
on Cricket at Wheathampstead.

Colts Winter Nets

Following the UK Governments announcement last night regarding limiting non-essential
social interaction, the club has taken the decision to suspend all junior winter training
sessions with immediate affect. We know this will come as a disappointment to our many
junior players, but the welfare of our players, coaches and their families is paramount.

Adult Winter Nets

We're waiting to hear from Herts Uni, so these, at present can continue, at each individuals own risk.
Please follow Public Health England guidelines in ensuring hands are washed.
No sharing of gloves, helmets or balls.

League Cricket (Junior & Senior)

https://www.hertsleague.co.uk/article/289/Covid-19-Statement-from-the-League

We are waiting to hear from the ECB and / or the Herts League. They are monitoring the situation.
I imagine there will be at a minimum disruption to the start of the season.
We will keep you all informed when we know more.

Golf Day - 27th March

We're in contact with Aldwickbury GC and separate email has been sent to those signed up.

Quiz Night - 25th April

Cancelled until further notice.

Other Socials

We will make decisions on a case by case basis nearer the time.

We will continue to monitor the Government's advice and also that from the ECB and Herts Cricket
and update you accordingly.

Please stay safe during these difficult times.
Thanks
WCC Committee
