2nd XI: Captain, Ian Porter
P5, W1, L4
https://www.hertsleague.co.uk/results/451/Division-Eight-A/2019
Player of the Month is Baber Zaman. 120 runs, 2 NO’s, average of
60
Highlight
for me thus far has been catches taken in field. Last year we were 50/50 for
clean chances. This year only one clear dropped catch out of 9, so over 90%
taken.
Teas
to date have been good. No mind blowers yet but overall 7/10. Only disappointment is having to drink black tea at a home
game (Chairman apologises!)
3rd XI: Captain, Andy Alexander
P4, W2, L1, NR 2
https://www.hertsleague.co.uk/results/460/Regional-Division-B-West/2019
Mostly rain! Highlight was
Ian MAC and Raheel going full 20/20 against Old Camdenians scoring over a 100
in 12 overs .
Also a good debut from colt James Woods. Teas??? Our
Captain has only had 1!

Performance Squad
Over
20 kids attended Lord’s for this year’s Performance Squad run by Eamonn Keane
and a lead coach from the MCC.
The
players (ranging from U9s - U16s) participated in over 4 hrs of high level
coaching, having the unique opportunity of utilising the MCC cutting edge video
analysis which included Pitch Vision and Hawk Eye technologies.
Each
individual piece of footage and coaches feedback is then sent to each of the
players and reviewed the following week back at the club where improvements on
players techniques highlighted from the footage can be broken down and
developed on the home pitch.
The
day at Lords was then closed by a tour of the ground which included the home dressing
room and the Long Room !!!
All
in all an amazing day for all involved and something hopefully we can make as a
permanent fixture for the Colts section
WCC Trip to the Oval for T20 Blast Action
The club are planning a group trip to the Oval to watch Surrey in the T20 Blast this Summer
This is open to all members, watch out for announcements about dates & tickets.
U16s go for just £1!
Cheers
Chairman Jimmy
