Dear
Members,
A quick update before the approaching start of the 2021 season.
We hope to have loads and loads of cricket this year.
We'll have 4 Saturday League teams, entry to the National Village Cup, Sunday
Friendlies, Midweek T20s,
Performance & Development Team games.
Something for everyone.
We understand outdoor training can take place from 29th March - we are still waiting
for specific ECB guidance on how we can return.
It is likely there will still be some restrictions and protocols in place.
Nets
The torn matting has been repaired - however, nets are not to be used until
after 3rd April - see below.
Reminder strictly no spikes in nets.
Please use net booking form as last year on the website. Available to logged in
members only.
Look out for updates as to when your team or age group training is.
Ground Force Day
Saturday 3rd April @10am
If you can spare an hour or two on the 3rd then the club could really do with a
hand getting the ground ready for the season.
We will need volunteers to help with:
Netting - repairs and putting
replacement net on.
Rabbit Holes - always need to
repair the damage from the winter
Rolling - If the rest of the
month is drier, we'll get the heavy roller for the outfield and wicket. it
needs a lot of hours
Sightscreens - need to be
rebuilt and rolled to position
Matches
Plan is still to have the first colts and senior games w/c 25th April.
