1st XI Crowned Champions of the World!

Under the leadership of Adam Goodyear Robbins, the WCC 1st XI broke the long overdue wait for securing the club's 1st silverware in many a year after winning the Saracens Herts League Division 4 Title. 
On their way to the title they won 12 games, drew 2 and lost 2 (with 3 no results).....amassing 443 points along the way and finishing 45 points clear of 2nd place! 
Wheato scored 2790 runs, losing 113 wickets at an average of 24.7 runs per wicket. The opposition scored 2460 runs losing 149 wickets at an average of 16.5 runs per wicket.
Their highest score of the year came at Old Camdenians (257-7) and their lowest total of bowling an opposition out came at home against Hertford (97-10).
Nick Weaver claimed the highest indvidual score at Radlett (108) and also the seasons best bowling figures against Hertford (17-7-30-7) .  Steve Booth took the fielding award by taking 14 catches....finishing 1 ahead of stumpmaster Richard Winchester who claimed 13 victims behind the sticks.
