The new season is upon us with a new look to both the comittee and captains at Wheato, we are looking forward to playing some great quality cricket and enjoying all the social aspects that membership of a cricket club can bring.

Availability
Can I ask you all to update your availability on the WCC website by the
end of this week to give the skippers an idea of when you will be about this year:

Membership Day - Saturday April 26th 2pm
Please come down to the club on Saturday 26th April from 2pm to sign on and pay your annual subscriptions. Cost for this year remains the same as last year at £130 for the season for adults, concessions for colts and people with less availability.
The bar will be open for a few drinks and we may have a BBQ if the weather is good. We will also be having a net session too for those who fancy a bit of extra practise for the new season so bring your kit.
Pre-Season Matches
We have the following friendly matches lined up over the next few weeks, contact the relevant captains if you fancy a game:
Sat 19th April - 1st/2nd XI Friendly vs OAs at Nomansland (1pm) - Captain: Alistair Sykes
Sat 3rd May - 3rd/4th XI Friendly Vs OAs Away (1pm) - Captain: Ian Porter
League Matches
The league matches for the various teams start on the following days:
1st XI - 3rd May Met Police Bushy (a)
2nd XI - 3rd May Welwyn Garden City III (h)
3rd XI - 10th May Sevenage V (a)
4th XI - 17th May Botany Bay IV (a)

Nets
Nets have now started at the club on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings from 6.30pm onwards. Thursday will be the main night with Tuesdays available if people want a bit of further practice.
All are welcome to both sessions so come on down!
