It is with great sadness that we have received news that long-time member, coach & scorer Graham Lake
passed away last week.
A former 1st Class cricketer with Gloucestershire, Graham was introduced to Wheathampstead in the
early 80s via another club legend, Dave Creswell and cricket week playing for the Gentleman of Hertfordshire.
Over 40 years, he was instrumental in establishing winter nets for the club, coaching the colts
(and plenty of adults!) and for the past 5 seasons scoring for the 1st XI.
His contributions and presence at the club will be fondly remembered.
The funeral will take place at Harwood Park (Knebworth) at 2.45pm on Friday 24th March,
with the wake taking place in the clubhouse afterwards.
